Sweet Dreams Like Honey

Music and Faith in Conversation

Composer Nikos Papadogiorgos invites us into a quiet conversation between music and faith — weaving together songs and texts that reflect on two opposing worldviews, and on the question: Is our existence a cosmic accident, or the fruit of divine intention and wisdom?

A performance that weaves together music and spoken word — a journey through anguish and hope, heaven and earth, silence and prayer, absence and Presence.

Music and Faith in Conversation

Faith doesn’t always appear with grand words or religious imagery. Often, it is present without being named — hidden in small, everyday gestures and thoughts. Every time we express the belief that “everything happens for a reason” or when we wish for something with all our heart, feeling that this wish holds power, or even when we feel that life is teaching us something to help us grow, we are expressing a form of faith. Faith in something beyond ourselves — an order, a meaning, a horizon we cannot control, yet one that still matters deeply to us.

In Sweet Dreams Like Honey, composer Nikos Papadogiorgos presents an original work where songs and texts enter into conversation with humanity’s deep longing to understand itself and the world. A performance that opens a quiet yet profound dialogue between art and spirituality — through music and words that illuminate questions and touch the core of human experience.

At the heart of this dialogue lie two worldviews: Is our existence the result of blind, random processes — or the fruit of divine intention, shaped by wisdom and some kind of purpose for the world? Is prayer an act of weakness or an attempt at relationship? And how can we speak of God in a world that knows pain, injustice, and loss so intensely?

A performance that weaves together music and spoken word — a journey through anguish and hope, heaven and earth, silence and prayer, absence and Presence.
